She loved him, what the heck was in her home town that was worth staying for. I couldn't believe her, and I didn't really understand her hesitance. I hated her reaction to his big news and proposal. The fell in love pretty fast and they had no problem telling each other that.īUT. One thing I loved about this book from the start was how honest they were with each other. You couldn't help but fall in love with Ben. Overall, it was a solid story that flowed easily and enjoyable to read. My biggest complaint with the book is the many spelling errors and incorrect word usage ('breaks' for brakes 'here' for hear, etc.). The road to happily-ever-after is not always easy and there are some difficult bumps in the road for these two. From there life begins to change for both Ben and Ally. But when Izzy pushes her to attend a 'visitors day' at the ice rink, Ally literally slams into Ben. Unlike her best friend Izzy, who is a proclaimed 'manaholic,' Ally doesn't date, hasn't had sex since she lost her virginity in high school, and doesn't have the energy to much care. She cares for her elderly and ailing grandmother, takes night classes at a local college, and works for at a local veterinarian clinic. He is looking for THE ONE but so far he's been looking in all the wrong places. Hot, both on and off the ice, Ben Sinclair is tired of one-night stands, rink bunnines, and bars. Two good main characters surrounded by an interesting and fun-to-read secondary cast.

Hockey is not my favorite but it gets the job done especially when the storyline piques my attention. Sometimes I just feel the need to read a sports romance.
